Intellidata is the FinTech and Advanced Analytics division of Converge Solutions Proprietary Limited (registration number 2017/541163/07), a company registered in the Republic of South Africa (“Converge”). References to “we”, “us” or “our” in this document refer to Intellidata and Converge. We develop and operate enterprise intelligence platforms - including Themis and Maestro - for regulated industries such as the Financial and Insurance sectors.

We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal and organisational data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and protect information when users access our website or interact with the Intellidata platform and related services. Any user who provides personal information to us warrants that he/she is lawfully permitted to do so.

This privacy policy applies to the personal information which we collect in connection with:

• Our business development activities and our business communications and other online and offline business interactions
• Third party service providers, including analytics, advertising networks, search information, technical, payment and delivery services providers

In compliance with legislative requirements in regulated industries, it may be mandatory for users to provide us with personal information in order for us to perform our contractual obligations.

• Name, address and contact details such as email and telephone numbers, gender, nationality, title and financial information including bank account or payment details
• Identification numbers, including identity number, passport number and company registration number
• Where applicable, any identity data, contact data and special personal information from publicly available sources or third parties who conduct checks and screening for anti-money laundering and credit

• Any other information relevant to the provision of our products and services

Platform and service data

Where clients use Intellidata products such as Themis or Maestro, data processed within those systems is controlled by the client organisation. Intellidata operates as a technology provider and processes such data strictly in accordance with client agreements and applicable data protection laws.

• Provide and improve our products and services
• Communicate with users regarding enquiries or support and to keep records of communications
• Maintain platform security and carry out performance of our services
• Analyse usage patterns to improve the website
• Comply with regulatory obligations including record keeping requirements
• Verify identity and conduct screening where applicable
• Comply with lawful requests for information from law enforcement agencies
• Detect and prevent fraud and money laundering and in the interest of security and crime prevention
• Data analytics to improve our products and services
• Respond to requests for proposals and quotations
• Process applications to use our services where applicable
• Send you marketing and other business development-related material that we believe may be of interest to you

We implement appropriate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include secure infrastructure, access controls, encryption where appropriate, and monitoring mechanisms.

We do not sell personal information. Personal information may be shared only:

• Within our organisation
• With authorised service providers who support our infrastructure to perform our contractual obligations with clients
• Where required by law or regulatory obligation
• In response to legal process, or where necessary to conduct or protect our legal rights
• With client's permitted recipients in accordance with contractual agreements
• With a successor entity if all or part of our business is merged, sold or reorganised, in which case we will use reasonable measures to help ensure that it processes personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy

We may transfer your personal information to places outside South Africa and store it there, where our suppliers may process it. Where this is required, we comply with applicable data privacy laws and this Privacy Policy before transferring your personal information.

Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy or to comply with legal obligations.

Depending on applicable data protection laws, users may have rights to:

• Ask us to confirm, free of charge and on proof of identity, the personal information we hold about them, including the identity of third parties who have or have had access to it
• Access their personal information through a reasonable request (Data Subject access request)
• Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate personal information
• Request deletion of personal information
• Object to certain processing activities where processing impacts user's fundamental rights
• Withdraw consent if we rely on consent to process personal information - note that if consent is withdrawn, we may not be able to provide products or services to you
